Frank has a very special way of connecting with the audience. As the audience arrives, Frank and the band pass out 3x5 cards to them and ask them to write down requests during the first set. During intermission, they talk to folks and collect the cards. During the second set they read off the cards, have a dialog with people in the audience, and then play their requests. They do everything, from Bach to Glenn Miller, to Smoke on the Water. He is often hilarious, always engaging and entertaining. One of the world's most highly sought after acoustic guitarists, Frank Vignola has amply demonstrated his mastery of every genre, from fusion and commercial pop-jazz to hard bop, post-bop, swing, rock, and blues.
